Home Support Program (CHSP) Support Workers

ADEC currently has vacancies for Casual Home Support Program (CHSP) Support Workers within the Northern area of Melbourne.
The CHSP Support Workers role is to provide quality assistance to individuals with a disability, their families and carers from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. ADEC CHSP supports are successfully built around supporting the individual’s needs, wants and strengths while making it an enjoyable experience.
Duties:

• Provide quality care in accordance to a individuals Care Support Plan
• Provide in home support including personal care, hygiene support, manual handling
• Support with independent living skills
• Support to participate in social and recreational activities within the community
Skills and Experience:
• Certificate III in Home & Community Care, Aged Care, Disability or higher
• Previous experience in the disability or aged care field in a comparable position
• Current driver’s license and the availability of a vehicle with comprehensive insurance
• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid and CPR Qualifications
• Ability to work without direct supervision, within guidelines and procedures
• Mobile Telephone
• Second language
