ArtAbility® is an inspiring visual arts program run by ADEC that unites a range of talented artists of all ages, from a variety of cultures who are living with a disability.

About ArtAbility®

Now in its 13th year, the ArtAbility® exhibition showcases multiple artworks from artists of all ages who are living with a disability or an experience of mental ill health and who come from culturally diverse backgrounds across Victoria. ArtAbility® provides the contributors the chance to be seen as “Artists” by their peers, families and the community in general while promoting a message of ability rather than disability, strength in diversity and personal empowerment through engagement with the broader community.

ArtAbility® is a yearlong project.

This year ArtAbility® will be held on Friday the 17th November 2017 at the Brunswick Town Hall during the day from 10am-4pm for general members of the public with a Gala Night held the night of the 17th from 6pm-9pm

We believe art speaks to and for all people. It is an inclusive form of communication practiced in every country around the world. Through the medium of visual arts, an individual can express him or herself, and the ArtAbility program is designed to provide this opportunity to our participating artists.
