ArtAbility

ArtAbility® is an art program run by Action on Disability within Ethnic Communities (ADEC). It began in 2006 and has been growing ever since. Our focus is on uniting, recognizing and celebrating a range of talented artists who are living with a disability, experience mental ill health or are from a culturally and linguistically diverse background.

Throughout the year, ArtAbility® hosts a series of art workshops where participants learn new skills and work on art pieces for an exhibition that is open to the public. Please get in contact if you or someone you know would like to participate.

ArtAbility® provides the contributors the chance to be seen as Artists by their peers, families and the community in general while promoting a message of ability rather than disability, strength in diversity and personal empowerment through engagement with the broader community.

You can become involved in ArtAbility®, either as an artist, volunteer or as a sponsor via email: artability@adec.org.au
