Do you need help with Aged Care services?
The service is free, confidential, and no referral is required.
We welcomed Mary to the Aged Care team in May 2023, and she
quickly became an incredibly valued member of the ADEC family.
Mary is a bubbly ‘people person’ who loves to socialise, and her
passion for her clients is infectious.
“I love my job because I get to work with the elderly,” she says. “It is
so rewarding being able to change people’s lives. Coming to work
at ADEC is like being with family, everyone has been so welcoming.
The team is great and it is a nice environment to work in.”
Praise for Mary:

Upcoming
Expo
ACCPA Care & Ageing Well
Expo 2024
Tuesday,
18th June 2024,
10am - 3pm
Join Us at the Whittlesea Ageing Well Expo 2024!
Whether you are planning for your own future or caring for a
loved one, the Ageing Well Expo is the ultimate resource
hub. This Free expo is tailor-made to keep you informed,
safe, and supported as you continue to live your best life.
Location: Melbourne Convention &
Exhibition Centre
Date: 10 & 11 February 2024
ADEC joined the ACCPA Care & Ageing
Well Expo last February. Our team had
the fantastic opportunity to join other 80
aged care exhibitors, to bring to life
comprehensive living solutions tailored
specifically for older Australians. The
Expo was a one-stop destination where
attendees could explore, learn, and
connect with the resources and solutions.
Picture a vibrant event buzzing with
energy, where attendees soaked up
invaluable knowledge and advice from
seasoned speakers eager to share insights
on living life to the fullest in later years. Our
presence at the event allowed us to
connect directly with individuals seeking
guidance, support on their ageing journey
as well as raise awareness about our new
branding. Our stall was a hub of activity,
with engaging activities such as
consultations, lucky draws, a dart board
game, and a photo booth. The highlight
was the lucky draw, which attracted a
significant number of participants and
played a vital role in interaction with
customers.

Right now, only 1 in 2 people with disability have access to independent disability
advocacy support, leaving a critical gap in safeguarding the rights and well-being of
our community members with disability. The Australian government must
significantly increase funding for independent disability advocacy organisations to
support people with disability.
Join ADEC in the Speak Up! campaign and call for $91 million in investment!
Investing in advocacy is needed to strengthen the rights of people with disability.
Everyone deserves access to support.
Speak Up for Independent Advocacy
ADEC offers FREE Disability Advocacy
Support Services
ADEC’s Advocacy program assists people living with a
disability, their carers, and family members, to understand
their rights, access information, and services, and to speak
up for what is needed to improve their situation.
Our advocates will help you work out what the issue is, and
what you want to happen and prepare an advocacy plan.
The plan may involve us attending meetings with you and helping
you present your view.

“I like to say a big thank you to Chuye for her
amazing work, that she has done supporting us
through the tribunal for my two sons George &
Peter. She was always there when I needed her
to explain an email to me what the tribunal had
said to us, or just to guide us through it all. We
got a great outcome. Thanks to her support and
hard work. We will definitely be reaching out
again if we need help in the future. Thank you
