Say No to Abuse

For the last couple of years, ADEC’s Community Services department has worked on a project called “SAY NO TO ABUSE” to help families from culturally diverse backgrounds who are affected by disabilities to recognise and understand abuse in a culturally sensitive context. This project called “Safeguarding the rights of people with disabilities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds” was funded by the Department of Health and Human Services.

To further educate people with disabilities and their families about different types of abuse we have developed short animations in English, Hindi, Karen, Mandarin and Turkish regarding:

Physical abuse
Financial abuse
Emotional abuse
Neglect
